Salvador Sauceda-Guzman is originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia and made their way to Washington, D.C. after graduating from George Mason University with a Bachelors in Political Science and International Relations. Starting his professional career as a Paralegal at different law firms, they eventually became an Associate at a large alternative dispute resolution company, JAMS. Highly engaged in community through numerous non-profits and community organizations, Salvador decided to run for local office during the 2020 election cycle and was sworn in as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) for the neighborhood of Trinidad in the North East quadrant of Washington, D.C.. Since then Salvador has become the ANC Chair for South Ward 5 and also acts as an Advisor for the Mayor’s Office on LGBTQIA+ Affairs. They currently are the National Education Program Manager for their beloved Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Treasurer for the 5th District Citizens Advisory Council. They joined GPMC in 2021 and became an Auxiliary Chair for the Community Service and Programming Committee and now acts as our organization's Secretary. Salvador states that their Mexican-American upbringing set the foundation for their interest in wanting to always see their community move forward and meet the standards of excellence we all deserve.
